I just wish I could finally choose where to stay in New York City this holiday season, and my choices are almost unlimited when it comes to New York City hotels. I'm not the big traveler that my family might make me out to be, even though I had take a flight at one-thirty in the morning to start going to college in Colorado, but that is an issue between me and my family. I haven't really enjoyed staying with them in the same house, especially when the holidays strike, but I have decided that getting room somewhere near would be the best solution.

My dad grumbles when he has to pick me up because I haven't afforded a car yet that I could just take to the City, but for now, he seems to be tolerant with picking me up back and forth throughout the City. I usually get to visit fairly early, and in time to give my parents and sister a hand with the preparations, my sister is a couple months older than twelve and rarely helps as much as she could. I'm sure that she will grow out of it as she gets older, and once she realizes that our parents aren't obligated to do everything themselves, whether it is help when cooking or decorating in preparation for the holiday seasons. Such is life, though, and I would have to say that I love her dearly.

Back to the issue of those New York City hotels, though, because I really am getting off-track here. I usually go with a pretty cheap hotel located somewhere close to Brooklyn where my family lives now, but oddly enough I have never been to the same hotel twice on the same season. I also like to choose a place that is close enough within the city that I can visit my old friends while I'm in town, and we will usually go to the theater or one of the nightclub's that we are all familiar with, though I must admit that quite a bit changes from trip to trip as I speak to my friends while I'm out-of-state.

I've noticed that Colorado differs much from the place that I used to call home, and not just in the scenery either, that does seem to have an affect on the way that everything was laid out. I wish I had all the time in the world to talk about this, but I'm talking about New York City hotels right now, just don't ask me about the expensive hotels because I don't think I've even stepped into one of those places in my life. There have even been times where I have stayed on friends' couches back there just before and just after a started at school, but lately, I have gotten the hang of my finances as I've matured.

I know I haven't said too much about actual New York City hotels, but I do know that a nice cheap hotel can be a college student's best friend.
