I must admit that I am a bit of a novice when it comes to dining, or being brave enough to try a restaurant that I have never been to, however, I was shocked when I started looking online to find where some of the best places to eat were in my city. As large as New York City is, there is no wonder how there are so many delightful cafes and diners that seem to specify between foreign cuisine and the usual American fare, but lately I have been eating at some of the most spectacular places. I'm still a novice when it comes to New York City restaurants, but I am certainly more willing to take an open-minded approach to foods I've never even heard of.
My son likes to eat at the usual fast food places, which are littered with great abundance in any city, as my sister and her two kids can attest, and they live in Buffalo here in New York. When my son is with his father, I find myself scanning the local restaurant reviews in the paper or online, and usually end up going to one of those listed as being one of the better New York City restaurants. Don't get me wrong, I really love the prepared foods that I grew up with, but a really good sushi place or an Indian bistro can really make the day seem extraordinary, whether I eat lunch there or just enjoy a light dinner.
At times, I've tried to think how my new preferences have made my outlook much more varied as far as considering other cultures a part of my own, and occasionally I will dine where the average close-minded person might feel ostracized as an excitement all its own. It seems really pleasant to me to discover new and scrumptious things to consume at all the New York City restaurants that I have found, and it gives me a thrill to know where a place is if I happen to enjoy the food, no matter how badly I pronounce the names on the menu. New York City restaurants may seem overwhelming at first sight, but I think that is only where a tourist would be concerned. Anyone born or raised from New York City knows that the options aren't as confusing as at first they perhaps might seem. I have dined at multiple small New York City restaurants that have been wonderful in both the atmosphere that they present, and in the service and quality of those prepared dishes that are truly unique to their customs and approach to dining. I have also made friends that give me the satisfaction of knowing that I can come back to their establishment at any time.
All in all, New York City restaurants may seem to be a confusing affair when preparing to dine out, and it may be easier to just choose a usual hangout or spot or fast food joint. Nothing beats the unique qualities that lie within the heart of New York City's dining establishments, and I highly recommend to anyone, whether they are visitors or natives, to try eating out at some of the most original and friendly places that are there waiting for the customers to enjoy their food as much as I do. |
